Overview

Whether it’s you’re first-time or you’re a long-time enthusiast, you’re going to get excited about Maine Lobster Now. They know how to harvest, hold, and ship the world’s best live lobster—and lobster meat—throughout the country. Their fresh-caught lobster is hard-shelled and cold-water, making it ideal for shipping to your front door. Use butter and salt if that’s your preference but this lobster already offers delectable meat.

Shipping

Maine Lobster Now offers delivery Tuesday through Saturday. Customers can choose their delivery date. The smallest amount of live lobster (1.5 lbs) costs about $40 to ship pretty much anywhere in the continental U.S. The exact shipping costs for larger orders depends on weight, dimensions, and location. Live lobster is always shipped FedEx Next Day Air. Customers can choose their level of FedEx delivery service for lobster meat and other frozen seafood.

Harvesting and Holding Methods

Maine Lobster Now doesn’t just sell wild-caught lobster. They sell fresh-caught, non-pounded lobster. This means your lobster won’t have suffered from prolonged exposure to sections of ocean water that have cordoned off to store live lobster. This can lead to the ingestion of the shells of other lobsters, creating something known as shell disease as well as other problems with otherwise top-shelf live lobster. The company also faithfully adheres to the trap and size limits as set forth by the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) to maintain sustainable harvesting practices.

Recipes and Resources

More than just basic assurances of their top-notch harvesting and holding methods, Maine Lobster Now offers a wide range of recipes and resources for their lobster-loving customers.
